Rachel’s Pov

“Come on Bri, let’s get you cleaned up.” I said taking hold of her arm, she flinched and I knew why, I felt so bad.

“Um, Frank can you like wait outside,” I asked him, he just nodded and walked out of the room.

Right, I had two options, one confront her and get a lecture on how I wouldn’t understand, and that I should stay out of her life, or two leave it and ignore it, until she seriously hurts herself.

I choose option one, I would hate anything happen to Brina, even if she would be mad at me.

I sat next to her on the bed and rolled up the sleeve of her sweater, revealing about half a dozen new cuts.

I suddenly felt really hungry, but there was no way in hell I’d do that to my best friend.

“Brina, why?” I asked and she looked at the floor.

“You wouldn’t understand,” she said, see? What did I tell you?

I sighed and gave her a side hug and she started crying.

“I was just thinking back to the night me and Gerard, you know, I miss him so much Rachel, there’s no point in living or dying just whatever I am, without him.” She said crying.

I nodded, and passed her a tissue.

“You never did tell me why I wasn’t allowed to call him.” She said almost angrily.

“Brina, please let’s not talk about it now.” I said sighing.

“No Rach, I want to know.” She almost demanded.

“Bri, leave it.” I said looking at her.

“No! I want to know why you wont let me call the love of my life! The only person that can make everything better.” She yelled.

“Fine! You want to know!? It’s because I was scared that if you called him and met up with him you might lose control and bite him.” I confessed, half yelling.

“What? I would never do that, I love him.” Brina replied looking up at me.

“Frank, loves me and look what happened.” I said quietly and walked out of the room.

I sighed shaking my head and felt two arms wrap around me.

“I’m sorry.” Frank said.

“What for?” I asked I then realised what he was talking about, oops.

“For making you like this, for turning you into this creature.” Frank said.

“Frank it’s okay I don’t mind, I like being like this.” I half lied.

“No you don’t I can tell and I heard you talking to Brina.” He said.

“Frank, it’s not true, I didn’t mean it like that.” I said looking at him.

He shook his head and sat on the couch with his head in his hands.

I walked over and tried to take hold of his hands, but he kept it clamped on his head.

“Frank,” I said quietly and he looked up for a second, before looking back down.

I focused and managed to read his mind, after two attempts.

He was thinking back to before this happened,

To the first time we said “I love you.” To each other.

We were sitting on the top of a hill side watching the sunset.

He pulled me onto his lap and kissed my cheek.

He started caressing my cheek and then kissed my lips softly.

I smiled hugging him lightly.

“I love you Rach,” he said quietly in my ear.

I looked at him and smiled widely.

“Frank, I love you too.” I said kissing him passionately.

I started crying remembering that day, it was one of the best days of my life.

Frank looked at me, and pulled me onto his lap.

I buried my head in his chest and he cradled me back and forth.

“Frank, I love you, and that’s all that matters as long as I have you, I’m happy.” I said, looking up at him.

He didn’t reply he just nodded.

Brina came out of her room, she had a new sweater on though it looked like she’d been crying.

I got up and walked out of the room.

Trying to avoid her blowing up at me,

I walked into my room though she followed.

She closed the door behind us and I sat on my bed.

She looked at me for a while before sighing and sitting next to me.

“Listen-” she said but didn’t continue.

I looked up and she sighed.

“I’m sorry I yelled at you.” She said,

“No it’s my fault.” I said and we laughed.

“I just miss him a lot, you know? And I was just wondering.” Brina said.

“I know Bri, I’m sorry, I would let you, you know that if there wasn’t this chance, but there is, and I know you don’t want Gerard getting hurt.” I said and she nodded.

I pulled her into a hug and we seemed to stay like that for ages.

“I’ll try my best to find a way.” I whispered in her ear and she nodded.

“Umm, are you both alright?” Frank asked walking into the room, rubbing his eyes.

We both nodded, I could tell Frank had been crying.

 “Honey, are you okay?” I asked him, and he nodded weakly.

“You’re not, come on let’s get you back to bed, I’ll be right back Bri.” I said and then led Frank to bed.

“Rach, I’m fine honestly.” Frank said yawning.

“You’re not there is something wrong, you’re really pale.” I said concerned.

“I’m a vampire, duh! All vampires are pale.” Frank said.

“Well, umm will you at least have a drink,” Rachel said as she realised that he wasn’t going to go to bed.

“Sure, I’ll make us some tea.” Frank said.

“Not that kind of drink, I mean of blood, from me.” I said and Frank looked at me strangely.
 “No, no more blood, I can’t stand this, I just, I just can’t!” Frank yelled before, walking out of the room.

I sighed, and went to the front door, it was getting dark so I decided to go for a walk.

I put one of Frank’s hoodies on, and walked out of the house.

After I was halfway down the road I heard someone behind me

It was Brina.

“Fuck Bri, you scared the living shit outta me.” I said and she apologized.

We started walking in silence.

Either of us too busy thinking to talk.

Gerard’s Pov (out celebrating)

We got to the Four Aces and Pete met up with all this little crew.

They sure did look a miss-match bunch

But they were friendly.

They started telling me about their record,

But to be honest, I couldn’t have cared less.

Brina was still on my mind.

I kept seeing her,

Well it wasn’t her it was just random women

But they all seemed to look so much like her.

God, I really am crazy.

Well yeah, crazy in love.

“Gee, Gee..what do you want to drink?” Pete asked snapping out of my thoughts.

“Umm, coke.” I said without a thought

I really didn’t want to be here.

I wanted to be back home

Staring at her, having her in my arms, making love to her.

I even missed her smell.

“Why the fuck is it always me!?”

I said thinking out loud and smacking the table.

One of Pete’s band, I think his name was Patrick or something.

Looked at me.

“So Gerard, what kind of music is My Chemical Romance?” he asked

I don’t think he actually cared.

He probably just didn’t like me swearing or something.

“We’re rock mostly, a little punk here and there, and a little metal

Our guitarist Frank, is always joking about saying how emo we are,

But I don’t think we really are, I guess more emo than some bands,

So umm yeah, what about you guys?” I asked.

“We’re probably mostly pop-punk, a little rock too, although Pete said he wants to be an emo-kingpin, I don’t know what the hell that is.” Patrick said and I laughed.

Pete heard us and came over with the drinks.

“Yeah,” he said. “I can see it now, on all the magazines ‘Pete Wentz emo-kingpin does this’” he said and I laughed.

He was a good guy,

He reminded me of Bri in a lot of ways.

I guess that’s why they got on so well.

I took my drink from Pete and took a sip.

Jeremy started talking about recording and shit, Pete was listening carefully.
So I thought I could ask him about what Jeremy was saying later.

If it was important.

I started listening to the music in the club

At first I wasn’t sure what is was.

But it soon became clear to me.

It was From First To Last, Note To Self.

I’d always catch Brina singing it.

It must have been her favourite song,

She was always singing. That is one of my favourite memories of her.

Listen to me, I’m talking about her like she’s dead.

I’m so fucking stupid.

But yeah, I loved her singing voice, it was beautiful.

I remember one day.

Before we were going out we were all hanging at Rachel’s.

I think it was when her and Frank had just started dating.

It was really funny

They were both so shy,

And now you look at them, they’re eye fucking each other all day.

I miss Frank and Rach too,

They’re like some of my best friends.

But anyway,

We were sitting talking; well I think Rachel and Frank were kissing.

And me and Brina were listening to her mp3 player.

She switched onto a song called Hey There Delilah

By the Plain White T’s I think

And she started singing along softly.

It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever heard.

It was so beautiful, heart warming and soft.

I remember every detail about her that day.

She was lying next to me on Rach’s bed.

We were just friends then.

But good friends,

I had my arm wrapped lazily around her shoulders and we were rocking out.

I wanted to kiss her so bad.

But I knew, well I thought, she didn’t like me.

I came back to reality

And heard the chorus of the song

“Note to self, I miss you terribly, this is what we call a tragedy

Come back to me, come back to me, to me.”

That’s when everything hit me.

That line applied to what I was going through now

Except instead of a note to myself,

I was writing lyrics.

I had to get out of the club.

It was just to much for me at the moment.

I got up and Pete asked where I was going but I ignored him

I walked out into the night,

Night time was the best part of the day.

When all the creatures came out.

Well that’s what they said, I’d love to believe in them.

But I don’t.

The night air smelt different tonight.

It smelt, like I don’t know I guess I could say death.

I heard two people coming and glanced over.

My jaw dropped and I did a double take.

I ran over and quickly grabbed one of them.

It was Brina.

My Brina.

MY FUCKING BRINA!

Before she could say anything I kissed her passionately.

I felt something prick my tongue.

But whatever it was soon disappeared.

I deepened the kiss more.

Thanking god that she didn’t pull away from me.

Her hands scraped through my hair as I placed my hands on her butt.

I’d finally found her.

Rachel’s Pov.

Me and Brina were walking along passing a club when someone ran for Brina.

I was shocked but soon realised who it was.

The worst person possible apart from Red.

It was Gerard.

And what’s worse was he was kissing Brina.

I wanted to pull them apart so badly.

I didn’t want her to hurt him

But I couldn’t bring myself to do it.

They are so much in love.

Gerard eventually broke away reluctantly for air.

“Brina, where have you been?” he asked her softly hugging her.

Her eyes started welling up.

“It’s a long story.” Brina said, I bit my lip fearing what was coming next.

“Oh! I have to go and get Pete! He wants to see you so bad!” Gerard said.

“Stay there.” He said and then ran into the club.

“Bri, we have to go” I said tugging on her arm.

“Please, just a minute more.” Brina said wiping her eyes.

I shook my head.
“I’m sorry, but we can’t let him know the truth.” I said pulling at her sweater.

She nodded reluctantly and we both ran home.

Once we were home, I stopped Bri and hugged her tightly.
“I’m so sorry Bri, I wish I could’ve let you see them both longer.” I apologized.

“I understand,” she said and I stood back shocked.

“I do,” she continued. “I don’t want to hurt Gerard, I’m just glad to see he’s okay and I’m glad I got to kiss him again.” She smiled slightly and then walked into the apartment.

I sighed and followed her.

Gerard’s Pov.

“Pete, Pete! Brina is outside! I found her! And Rach!” I yelled running into the club.

Pete got up immediately and ran out with me.

I looked around to see…nothing.

And no one.

“Dude, there is no one here.” Pete sighed.
“They were here before, I swear.” I said.

“And they just ran off did they? They grew wings and flew?” Pete asked annoyed.

“I swear.” I said quietly.

“Gerard, dude you need help, she’s not coming back! Deal with it!” Pete yelled angry and upset.

He looked at me for a second more before storming back into the club.

I sighed.

She was real.

I kissed her, I felt her hands run through my hair.

She’s still out there,

And I’m going to find her.

Even if it kills me.
